2008 plans to be a very busy year for the Youth group. In addition to the regular Wednesday night meetings, the Senior High youth are invited to the Annual Southern PA District Volleyball Marathon on January 25-26 at the York First COB. Fun, fellowship, worship, and of course volleyball will be available for all. Registrations must be to Ed or Judy by January 11.
The Senior High group is also participating in the National Youth Christian Citizenship Seminar in New York City and Washington, D.C. on March 29 through April 3, 2008. This seminar is planned to help youth understand and explore the relationship between our faith and our response to the violence of genocide in our world. The cost for the seminar is $350, so when a youth contacts you about a fundraiser, please help!
As a mission project for this year, the youth are sponsoring a seven year old boy, Luis Miguel who lives in San Luis Potosi, Mexico. By filling the Luis jug with their change, the youth are helping provide better nutrition, improved health practices and hygiene, and training for Luis and his family. The youth are opening their hearts to the needs of another. What a wonderful way to share the love of Jesus!
All youth are invited to come and join the fun on Wednesday nights from 6 to 7:45 PM in the Church Annex.
