FAMILY NIGHT SPLASHDOWN A SUCCESS!

     The Family Night/Fellowship Dinner on Wednesday, April 29 was a true blessing!  Tables were set up for 96, and every seat appeared to be filled. The evening included dinner, a slide show of the FN activities, a song by
the children, and recognitions and awards.

     A very special part of the agenda was the awarding of two scholarships to Camp Eder for the summer of 2009.  The recipients were Elizabeth Baker and Dylan Printz.  These two children regularly attended FN and showed much growth in self-discipline, respect, and responsibility.  We are very proud of them!

     The scholarships were provided through funds remaining from the sale of cookbooks (done by Pat Appleby several years ago), and a jewelry event combining a silent auction and cash & carry.  Brethren generosity resulted in proceeds of $650. Combined with cookbook funds, and an anonymous cash
donation, the total amount is over $1,000!  This will totally cover the two scholarships already awarded...AND let a balance of $400 to be put into a newly established Family Night Camp Scholarship Fund.

     God's awesomeness shows again!  In terms of this year's FN theme: "Splash; Dive into God's Word", God truly is the Living Water!                            Linda Morgan, Family Night Coordinator
