Family Night Celebrates Native American Indians
On Wednesday. November 18, almost 100 children, youth, and adults enjoyed a return visit from Connie and Gene Niswander. A tepee was erected in the new Family Life Center, and the children sat on mats around an electric campfire to learn more about the Indians who actually inhabited this area. Mr. Niswander explained life styles, clothing and jewelry, and had some face painting as he told the meaning of various symbols. He displayed artifacts found locally, and shared the message of Jesus Christ throughout the evening. Refreshments, Indian style, were served in the Fellowship Hall.
