HOW DOES YOUR GARDEN GROW?
“Mary, Mary, Quite contrary, how does your garden grow?” “With silver bells and cockle shells, and dollar bills all in a row.” OOPS! That doesn’t sound quite right! The Steering Committee was wondering how your FLC garden is growing? Rumor has it that some of the things planted are baby sitters, baked good, car washes, diaper cakes, and prayer journals. Seems grass is not the only green thing growing this summer. The harvest from the “Sonflower” seeds is just around the corner, so if your seeds haven’t grown, it’s time to start fertilizing. The first Sunday in October, has been designated as Harvest Sunday. During the morning worship service, the traditional gathering of food for the needy will take place. This year, the FLC seed money and what it has produced will also be harvested.
“As soon as the grain is ripe, he puts his sickle to it, because the harvest has come.” (Mark 4:29)
